What does a postpartum doula do, exactly?

As your Postpartum Doula, I am present to support you to make sure you're nursing yourself back in a healthy and steady paced way. I'm also there to help with the baby feeding and sleeping routine.

Overall, I am your at home support person. I will help prepare healthy meals, assist with breastfeeding and bottle feeding, light housekeeping and emotional support. I'm sure you will have questions or concerns about your body as well as the baby's, I'm here for those questions and concerns too! Don't cheat yourself thinking you can do this all by yourself. Even if you have a partner, they are tired too!

Giving birth is emotional and physically draining, as your Postpartum Doula I can definitely relieve that burden of having to do and think of everything. You just had your baby that you have been dreaming of for the past months, now is the time to enjoy your baby and let your body heal so you can be the mother that you have always wanted to be.
